Inuit Association of Manitoba (IAM) would like to honour Rosemary Cooper as she will be retiring effective March 28, 2025, as CEO from Pauktuutit. We would like to thank Rosemary for her commitment over the last nine years. We are truly grateful at IAM for her dedication and commitment to empowering Inuit women voices and advocating for Inuit women shelters and transitional housing in Inuit Nanangat and Urban centres . We wish her all the best as she enters this new chapter in her life and journey.
We would also like to congratulate Pauktuutit's new President and CEO, Nikki Komaksiutiksak. "Inuit Association of Manitoba is looking forward to the continued partnership with Pauktuutit and we are very excited with this announcement and offer our support in this new leadership," Michael Kusugak, Board President IAM.
Since 1984 Pauktuutit has advocated for Inuit women and children in areas concerning health, violence and abuse prevention, socio-economic development, policy issues and ensuring the inclusion of Inuit women's rights. "We are proud to support Pauktuutit and delivery of their advocacy to Inuit women in Canada, I look forward to our continued partnership and offer my congratulations to Nikki and Joseph", Nastania Mullin, CEO IAM.
IAM has partnered with Pauktuutit over the years in programming and services and looks forward to further collaboration as we work together to further advance Inuit.
