Interested in becoming a professional accountant?

Your Future in Accounting Starts Today! Open to all Inuit in Canada!

The Manitoba Inuit Association (MIA), in partnership with CPA Western School of Business (CPAWSB), CPA Manitoba, and the Aboriginal Financial Officers Association (AFOA) of Alberta, is offering accounting education, open to all Inuit learners across Canada, as part of the Indigenous Learners in Accounting (ILA) initiative.

Education for Inuit Learners

In collaboration with Indigenous subject matter experts, we have customized CPA preparatory courses and CPA PEP modules specifically for Indigenous learners. These courses and modules lead to the CPA designation. Applicable preparatory courses are also transferrable for advanced standing in the Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager (CAFM) certification offered by AFOA Canada.

Upcoming Course Offerings - 2025 Summer/Fall Session

Course registration is now open for the Summer/Fall Session. We offer courses open to all indigenous applicants and also plan to offer Inuit-only cohorts if enrolment numbers are adequate.

For more information on these ILA courses and modules, visit the CPA Western School of Business (CPAWSB) website:
